Boise Idaho was one of the top 10 college towns to retire to as chosen by Kiplinger! Of course, everyone who lives in the Treasure Valley in Southwest Idaho is not suprised by this! A few of the reasons Boise was chosen was the wonderful 4 seasons climate, our college sports team pride, the wonderful cultural opportunities that abound, and the fact that Idaho doesn't tax Social Security benefits.
I can add a few things to the list : the wide variety of outdoor recreational "things to do", everything from snowboarding to white water rafting; the super concerts we get here with top recording artists from all genres; and affordable housing.
