The 5th Annual Smyrna Heroes Gala will be held at Smyrna Community Center, 200 Village Green Circle, on Saturday, September 6th, 7-11:30pm.
The Smyrna Heroes Gala is a community-wide, volunteer effort by area residents and businesses that honors our fire and police heroes by setting aside one evening to celebrate these dedicated individuals who protect and serve our community 24/7. Proceeds from the Gala benefit the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation (SPSF), a 501(c)(3) organization that supports both the community and Smyrna’s Public Safety employees.
Guests will dine on a variety of gourmet foods from Atkins Park, Marlow’s, Mezza Luna, and Zucca, REV Coffee, Kenny’s Great Pies, and the Corner Taqueria as well as sip on wine, beer, and specialty cocktails. A Live and silent auction including exotic trips and weekend getaways; jewelry; golf outings; celebrity, sports, film, and rock ‘n roll collectibles and memorabilia; as well a listening and dancing to the music of Wesley Cook and DJ Michael Sanders. In addition, we have something new at this years Gala. Mobile Bidding will be used to make the bidding experience more exciting and fun.
Proceeds from the Gala benefit the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation (SPSF), a non-profit, 501c organization that raises funds to support its mission, which includes, among others:
- Promoting and supporting the Smyrna Fire and Police Departments,
- Ensuring that each police officer and firefighter is qualified, trained, equipped, and educated to perform at the highest levels of professional standards,
- Communicating with community and business leaders to identify public safety programs desired by the community as well as the core issues of public safety,
- Recruiting qualified public safety personnel to meet city growth,
- Assisting the Smyrna Police Department in reducing crime,
- Providing financial support for public safety employees (and/or their families) injured or killed in the line of duty,
- Communicating to individuals and businesses contemplating relocation to the City of Smyrna and surrounding communities the highly effective and responsive services provided by the Smyrna Fire and Police Departments,
Mingle with Smyrna’s fire and police heroes, local businesses and residents, city officials, and Honorary Chair, as you
- EAT and enjoy delicious food from Atkins Park Tavern and other area eateries!
- SIP on wine, beer, and fun-themed specialty cocktails!
- BID on on live and silent auction goods and services from area businesses and residents such as exotic trips and weekend getaways; fine and decorative art; jewelry; health, beauty, and fitness services; theatre tickets; golf outings and lessons; restaurant gift cards; pet grooming and veterinary services; home décor items; accessories; celebrity, sports, film, and rock ‘n roll collectibles; and many other exciting items!
