Attitude of Gratitude
Yesterday I was watching a YouTube video featuring Tom Ferry. He is doing a series of videos with takeaways from his recent Success Summit. One of the things he talked about is how successful people tackle the start of each day. Taking time to give thanks, having an attitude of gratitude, is a part of a successful person's day.
So today I am giving thanks for three things from yesterday. First, I am thankful that the inspection went relatively well for one of our transactions scheduled to close next week. The home appeared to be in great shape, but the inspector found a leak issue that has caused some concern. The concern is not enough for the buyer to back out, but the buyer will get a contractor opinion for the cost to repair.
Second I am thankful for O'Kelly & Sorohan, a real estate closing attorney, that had to take over a transaction scheduled to close next Thursday. Around 450PM yesterday, the buyer's loan officer sent out an email stating that her bank was immediately suspending all business with the current closing attorney due to the legal situation with its previous managing partner. I am so thankful that we were able to quickly move the closing to another firm, and that firm was ready to take on the challenge of getting us to closing timely with such short notice.
Third I give thanks to my niece who connected with my brother who lives in Colorado. We had not heard from him for a month and a half. I had a moment of panic which subsided when I contacted the local VA hospital and they had no record of him being admitted. He is alive and well. My brother is very remarkable in that he is raising two teenage children while challenged with MS.
Give thanks and enjoy your day!
