Yesterday was a very busy day. My list of blessings was short but thorough.
Today will be less busy, but is starting much earlier. So ActiveRain friends, here is another short list. Write a list yourself and keep it handy, on your phone, on your refrigerator, near the bathroom mirror. Like affirmations, you need to remember your blessings!
Here are the three things I'm thankful for today:
1) I am thankful to be a citizen of the United States where I have more freedom than many others in other countries, a reasonable ability to make more money than I need to survive, and a safe place to live with clean drinking water, electricity and good schools without threat of violence.
2) I am thankful that our government is changed radically every few years, that we have elected officials who usually do our bidding and that for the most part this system works with majority rules
3) I am thankful that the area that I live in has great schools, pretty good roads, and amenities such as recycling, good parks, libraries, and other public spaces for recreation all paid by those of us who are fortunate enough to OWN A HOME!!!
