Horns & Rockets Fall

Yesterday was bitter, as both of the teams I follow most passionately in basketball fell to their opponents. Neither team ever had much of a shot during their games. Unfortunately, you can't always win. The Rockets will continue their daily struggle to obtain a 1, 2, or 3 seed, while the Longhorns will have to wait until next Fall to hit the court again. Hats off to Memphis and San Antonio!

Astros Open Season in San Diego Today

With the close of one team's season, we have the opening of another. Today the Astros open the regular season against the San Diego Padres. As an avid baseball (read: Astros) fan, I'm looking forward to putting last season behind us, and seeing how the new-look Astros fare in the NL Central.

If anyone is ever looking to offload some Astros tickets (particularly Fri - Sun games), please let me know, as I'm almost always down for a trip to Minute Maid.

No Burger for You

This weekend I went to check out the soda fountain inside of Nau's drugstore in Clarksville, but to my dismay I missed the closing of the grill by 30 minutes. I learned from another blog on Activerain that this was a spot that can be missed in Austin. Unfortunately, I missed it! Hopefully I'll get to check it out sometime this week.

The horns couldn't shoot if their life depended on it. They played horrible!
