If it were easy would you appreciate it?

Good morning David. Love your post and you express your thoughts very well. Someday when I grow up, I want to be just like you.

Ever know anyone that was born with a silver spoon in their mouth?  I rest my case.  

I have learned very little from my success.  I've learned a TON from my mistakes.  I would not appreciate it if it was easy.  

If it was easy there would be no way to separate the skilled from the order takers ... in any business, not just real estate.

The rough experiences no one can take away from us, and likewise, our successes. 

David- trails and tribulations help us learn new things.     With my new agents, I try to give them a very solid foundation, so they can have fewer pitfalls in their early transactions.      

I definitely think the things we have to work hard for are the things worth achieving - our confidence increases, we always learn something, we move our lives forward in some way.  

David, if it were easy, everyone would be doing it, so when you get it right, you have to feel super successful!

The "mix" defines the human experience. I am okay with easy peasy take it easy and I also can pick up an ax or shovel and make it happen...I'm in either way

All words of wisdome. Anything in life worth having is worth fighting for. 

Years ago I was commiserating with a fellow agent about the difficulty of a particular transaction.  I've never forgotten his response, "That's why they pay us the big bucks."  

His words were spoken in half jest as he knew I was working overtime to make the sale happen for my clients.  On the other hand, it was a reminder to me that most things worth having are not served up on a silver platter, they require real effort.  

I'm always amazed how many people moan and groan when faced with obstacles, heck life if full of them, that is how we learn.  Great post. 

David, I used to have an electrician who worked with me who always said, "If it were easy children would be doing it." Of course he was talking about the electrical field, but his point was well taken. Pros do what pros do. 8-)

If someone thinks it's easy then they didn't look close enough to see what all is involved to get the result and character is one of those results.

Nothing worth having comes easy!

I agree, but some days I'd be okay if it was just a little bit easier.

But other days, crafting solutions to the challenges is such a delicious treat.

Some trials come as a result of nothing we have done to make them happen.  Some are through our own mistakes.  But they have lessons that help us improve and not go through test or trial again.  And we can impart wisdom to someone else to help them not to go through as well.

I could not agree more.  Every thing you experience in life is a lesson.  They can teach us how something may not be working as we are doing it or emphasize that it is being done correctly.  Never get discourage or a swelled head, just learn from what happens. 

When everything is handed to you, you lack the necessary skills to further yourself in the real world.  If everything was easy we wouldn't have any dedicated hard workers out there.
