In the news today is the latest developments with a bid for a new baseball stadium in Glendale Arizona. The stadium will be on the northwest corner of 107th Avenue and Camelback and will be the spring training location for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox. The stadium will 12000 seats and 3000 lawn seats. Currently the plans are out for bid. The hope is to have the baseball stadium ready for spring 2009. I think this is a great addition for Glendale Arizona. Not only does Glendale Arizona have terrific football and hockey arenas. They now will have the addition of a baseball (spring training) franchise. Way to go Glendale!!!!!! On a side note the Cleveland Indians are in discussions with Goodyear Arizona for a spring training ball stadium. I truly believe the Valley of the Sun is on its way towards being a spring training mecca if not there already.
