Fact: Grand Rapids citizens like their beer. There are six flourishing micro-breweries/or brew pubs here.

Award winning brewers have come up with stouts and ales that discriminating beer drinkers will make a

pilgrimage to Grand Rapids to taste. No kidding, we had friends in from Cambridge MA last winter and

they had to go to Founders to get the Breakfast Stout. In fact, we had a Beer tasting Christmas Brunch

that was fantastic......... Then I took a nap.

Great post!!!! Very fun!!!! I am gluten free, but had my 1st beer in 9 years last week end, they are starting make them now!

Terry, I did not know this information. You are indeed a wealth of knowledge about our local area. :) Another reason why people should think about the West Michigan area...we have many unique and interesting ways to have a good time!

Lola: I think giving you this knowledge deserves a beer call me and I'll let you buy the first one.

I love it. The largest measure of beer is a butt. Rather than making the obvious jokes, I'll leave it for people to discuss among themselves.

If you are ever in Ann Arbor make your way to Grizzley Peak Brewing Co. and try their Bear Paw Porter, it's amazing!

Oh my god!

You're making me hungry, not thirsty, HUNGRY, for some of those local brews! I want to do the brunch, sample the brews and then take a nap!

I'll have to try them the next time I'm in town!

I am normally not a beer drinker but some of the stouts and porters are quite good! We will have to go to Founders again soon.

Bonnie: I remember you having several tastes of diffrent beers. I'm ready anytime your feel the need.
