We all know that home inspections are pretty much standard practice for any buyer considering the purchase of a new home. What we are seeing on the CT Shoreline and in other CT towns is that homeowners are opting for a pre-listing inspection in order to avoid any nasty surprises during contract negotiation and to make the home more attractive to the potential buyer by attending to the necessary repairs. A pre-listing inspection can provide a list of potential repairs/upgrades that may help the homeowner sell faster and at a higher price.
