I was so excited to see we could tag someone in a comment when that feature arrived. It was very cool to be able to respond to a question and tag someone on a comment thread. Made it feel like "back in the day" when we used to spend our evenings having "conversation" on those posts that got hijacked and we'd just take over and have lots of fun chatting with one another. One day soon I'm going to see if we can't "plan" a virtual meetup on a comment thread. I think that would be fun.
But I found out this week that you can now tag someone in a post too. So if you are re-blogging someone you can tag them. If I decided that one of Debbie Gartner 's flooring girl posts is something I want to share wtih my readers then I can tag her in that post and then my readers could go over to her blog and read more about flooring. Since we don't have anyone locally here that blogs about flooring they could gather some great information to make their choices in my area.
If someone writes a post to ask a question about how something works on ActiveRain that they don't under stand they could tag me or some of the other Ambassadors who are always willing to answer questions. Lenn Harley and Liz and Bill Spear come to mind. you can find a list of the Ambassadors here And of course there is always Kerrie La Guardia who can point you in the right direction of how to get help from staff.
So as you can see, "tagging" was just taken to the next level here on ActiveRain.
While I've been "anti-change" in my personality for most of my life, but I know a good change when I see it.
If you have questions about how something works at AR, feel free to tag me. I've learned a lot here and I am always willing to pay it forward. And always include AR questions in the Ask an Ambassador group, because daily someone is on "duty" to check that group for questions and provide or help find a direction to get help.
