New Construction homes in Plano Texas

While most of the city is built out, there are still a few places in Plano for home builders to build brand new homes.  The housing boom in Plano Texas really started in the mid-1970s, and then continued at a rapid pace until the late-1990s.  While we were still building after the millennium, the pace was just a bit slower than it had been in the past (as many people started looking north to Frisco, Allen, and McKinney where prices were a bit lower)...but the real estate market was still strong in Plano until around 2007-2008.  Of course, the real estate market slowed down across the country around that time.

Fast-forward to 2014.  The real estate markets across the country are doing better, prices are up, and it's a strong seller's market in the DFW area.  Add to that mix, the large corporate relocations that have been announced recently (Toyota is moving their corporate office to Plano TX, and State Farm is moving their world headquarters to Richardson TX just minutes away from Plano TX), and the highly-acclaimed Plano Independent School District, and you have the perfect place for home builders to build new homes.

Here is a list of neighborhoods where you may find your next NEW home in Plano Texas:
Within the Plano school district:
Avignon Windhaven - located near Windhaven and the Dallas North Tollway (K.Hovnanian Homes & Toll Brothers Homes)
Medina Villas - Located on 14th Street near Pecan Hollow Golf Course
Parkway Heights - located near Jupiter Road and Plano Parkway (Grand Homes)
Trails of Glenwood - Located near Parker Road at Los Rios Blvd (First Texas Homes)
Villas of Pecan Creek - Located near Parker Road at Jupiter Road (Normandy Homes & Highland Homes)
Westpark - located near Park Road and Custer Road (Toll Brothers Homes)

Neighboring School Districts, City of Plano address:
Hickory Ridge - Located near Coit Road and McDermott Road in Frisco ISD (Drees Homes)
Kathryn Park - Located on Custer Road just South of Highway 121 in Frisco ISD (Bloomfield Homes)
Kings Lake - Located near Spring Creek Parkway at Highway 121 in Lewisville ISD (Toll Brothers Homes)
Northglen - Located near Coit Road and Highway 121 in Frisco ISD (Grand Homes)
Shoal Creek - Located on Spring Creek Parkway between Highway 121 and the Dallas North Tollway in Lewisville ISD

As we look to the future, there are still a few tracts of land for home builders to begin new neighborhoods - but  the choices are growing smaller each year.   If you are looking for a NEW home in the Plano area, you need to start looking at model homes right away.

If you plan to buy new construction, make sure you hire a Realtor to represent you.  The home builders have someone looking out for their best interests....and you should too.  Our team of professionals represents home buyers looking at new construction homes, and our services are free to home buyers.
