So Long to an old Friend

In order to finance the restoration of another project, a 1968 Chevy SS, we have made the decision to part with Our 66' Goat ( GTO) .

This was  not so easy, as we have really enjoyed the project.  She is a pleasure to drive out on the highway and so much different than modern vehicles.   She was a luxury Muscle car when she was new with Cold  AC, power steering , 4 speed, and big block 389 V-8 performance  that are hard to beat.  It is such a different experience than today's little cars. I know she is a real glutton for gas...and I mean that literally. But when you only drive her now and then it doesn't matter in the great scheme of things.  Think I'll put on some Led Zeppalin and take her for one more ride before letting go of her!

New project below.....396 Big Block Chevy ...pure muscle with    4 speed "rock crusher'' trans. , no AC. and the original 8-track tape player still functions!

That is the the toughest part about the hobby.  You just cant keep them all.  I've never had a goat but I did have a '69 SS 396 for a while. Good luck on the SS project.

With the economy the way it is I think less people are shopping for  vintage muscle  cars.   I wish I were a buyer instread of a seller right now.
