Anyone out there that thinks subscription leads work? I sure would like to know. Please don't be shy and tell me honestly if you sign up for them or is this a gimmick from other real estate avenues to make a living. I have read articles were supposedly high profile companies spend thousands of dollars on this venture and even a year or so ago one of my Realtor subscription magazine did an article on them. The interview included large firms that did subscribe and comments by individual successful agents expressed opinions on which lead companies they preferred and gave them the most business and expressed success.
Besides the local area that you farm and then also our referral business from past clients, were else would you get hundreds of leads from. Your Internet website? Large companies do have an advantage, their advertising budget is huge and then internal referrals from coast to coast. Not that they are better than the small company, it's just a tighter circle. Then there are the builders they have their own Realtors and the customers think that they also represent their best interest. That is also because I know that most fail to explain to the customers the working with Real Estate Agent Brochure. (Yes, you know who you are?)
If I talk to individual agents they do not like to use them, does that mean they still do, but would rather not? To tell you the truth, I'm probably throwing good money after bad. It is a numbers game and you have to work hard to get good leads and then it takes a while for them to develop, if they ever. Well, I'm committed for a few more month, but I don't think I'll ever use any of them again. In stead I think I prefer to network with many of you wonderful stand alone agents out there, I do take referrals (25%) and I will reciprocate. Afterall is that not one of the great advantages of these blogs, Network!
