The Manton Apple Festival began as a small fair that was used to help the local apple growers sell their apples. Now it is a huge attraction to people from all around! The town of Manton has around 700 residents, and each year they prepare for approximately 4000 visitors!!
Besides the delicious apple pies and variety of "apple-themed" items, visitors can find hand-made craft items, and tons of games and activities. Proceeds from this event go towards scholarships for Manton area graduates who otherwise would not be eligible for financial aid. Getting delicious goodies AND helping to send graduates to college?? What more of an incentive are you waiting for? The Manton Apple Festival is a lovely excuse for a drive to the country.
