The San Diego Safari Park Lion Camp
One of San Diego's Premier Treasures is it's Safari Park. It is located in Escondido and is made up of 44 acres of land. The land was well utilized in that it gives opportunity for the animals to live in an environment similar but enhanced to what they would be used to in the wild.
In June of this year, the San Diego Safari Lion Camp enjoyed the birth of 4 new lion cubs.
In the wild , Lions when not seeking out their next meal, mostly just lie around. At Safari Park, the Lion Camp keepers try to keep the Lions entertained and lively with great new toys and experiences to keep them physically active and exercised.
The Lion Camp environment is exceptional and provides a very good quality of life for these magnificent felines. I love this part of the park and often see many photographers trying for that one in a million lion portrait. Me too!
