Check out the photo above, courtesy of Ada County Realtor Association, for a snapshot of our August 2014 housing market. Sales are down 12% from last month however only down 4% from this time last year. Ada County Association of Realtors still predicts we will end the year strong. Sales of homes in every price category above $160,000 were up in August. Sale of homes under $160,000 were down significantly pulling down our overall numbers. The upcoming inventory coming to market under $160,000 will hopefully excite first time home buyers. It will be interesting to see what happens as we head into fall!
