The Charlotte NC International Association of Home Staging Professionals recently exhibited at the CRRA REALTORS Expo and were asked to stage the center of the expo floor.

Here are photos of the area where we brought furniture and accessories to stage a relaxation area.  The 30x60 space got a lot of use throughout the day.

Hi Joan,

Congratulations Charlotte IAHSP!  Great job done and super exposure for IAHSP! Keep up the good work! Will you be going to convention?

Thank you!  As chapter president, I am tremendously proud of my chapter.  We also had a speaking spot about home staging at the expo.  It was super exposure for us and IAHSP.  I can't make the convention, but I think 2 of our members will be there.  Joan

Joan,

That is just great!  The more positive exposure ASP Home Staging gets the better.  Sorry you won't be at convention, but hope to meet your other chapter members!  Continued Success!

I love it! My IAHSP chapter meets tomorrow. I am printing these pictures to show them. We have a Realtor convention coming up. Can I ask, did you get the furniture donated by one of your business affiliates? Who did you contact to get the oppurtunity to do this?

Thanks! Heather

Hi Heather!  Do you have a business affiliate program in your chapter?  If not, get aggressive with that.  The affilates can fund your projects.  Email me if you want me to send you the affiliate application I created and had approved by Barb Schwarz.

Charlotte, NC IAHSP reserved an exhibition booth for the second year in a row at the expo.  About a week before the expo, an expo official asked me if we would stage a relaxation area at the center of the convention hall.  Of course, I jumped on that.  It was thrown together at the last minute, but I love a challenge!  I rented the sofa, loveseat, chairs and wood tables, and sewed the pillows and table toppers.  Other members brought in the parsons chairs and the small round tables and plants.  We all brought a few accessories.  We had business cards and brochures on the tables and the expo gave us the big signage.  The minor rental cost came from the chapter, which is funded a great deal by affiliates.  None of us "knew" someone that got us this gig.  We work hard to have an excellent reputation in our market.

Don't pass up that expo.  Good luck!  Joan Inglis, Charlotte, NC IAHSP chapter president

Hey Joan, looks great. Purple must be the color this year.  The Upstate Women's show in Greenville used purple and red for their colors.
