A Little Rain Won't Hurt You!
My cactus is loving the increase of rain and moisture that the Hurricane Odile off the Baja Peninsula is bringing our way.
Flooding is expected in the next hours/days as Hurricane Odile moves closer. Unfortunately, Los Cabos has already been hit pretty hard. Here's a news story link on Hurricane Odile and projected weather patterns for Tucson and Marana, AZ. We were dumped on last week with rain up to 4 inches in some areas.
However, right now I have two gardeners - one who was going to add an irrigation line, and another who was going to transfer landscaping stone from the back yard to the front...both cancel due to the very light rain we are getting now.
It's a good thing they don't work in my hometown of Puyallup, WA in the Puget Sound. They'd only be able to work 15-20 days a year.
My thoughts go out to those in the path of Hurricane Odile. Let's hope she blows out as soon as possible with the least amount of damage.
