Have you read this book written by Jeffrey Gitomer yet? If not, I highly recommend you going out and buying a copy today. You can find them for under $14 on sites such as eBay, and Amazon.com. Even people who don't like to read books will find that this is not only an easy read, but it is enjoyable as well. It is an amazing book packed full of sales information. I have read a lot of sales and networking books, but this one has to be my favorite. He cuts to the chase, with his in your face approach and down to earth manner he uses to convey his points. This "Little Red Book" has more USEFUL information in it than other big, longwinded sales books, and this book is fluff-free. He has a series of "Little Books" all different colors and I have a few on the way to me right now!
Currently I am in the process of reading it for a second time. I can tell you after I am done with the 2nd time around I am going to read it again! I have already picked up things that I had forgotten while reading it the first time. AMAZING READ. Also you can go to http://www.gitomer.com/ can subscribe to his "Sales Caffeine" which is a weekly newsletter that touches on sales, Q&A, highlights a books etc. I am signed up for it and look forward every Tuesday to coming in and opening up my email to read it. It is pretty in your face with marketing, but if ignore that and read the text of the newsletter you will gain valuable tips every week!
For the people that haven't read this, THIS IS A MUST READ!
For the people that have read this, what did you think?
"Every salesperson learns "how to sell." And every salesperson learns the wrong thing. People don't like to be sold, but they love to buy." THIS IS THE FIRST LINE OF THE BOOK. From the beginning you know this is going to be a little different than most sales books.
Thanks for the tip, I will get it. I also suggest "Purple Cow" by Seth Godin.
