Wednesday, September 24th at 6:00 pm
Do you know that 15% of students have misused prescription drugs? The average age of a child's first drug encounter is the age of 12. This forum was put together to help communities by providing information to help choose a drug-free lifestyle and to provide resources for family members and/or friends who are involved in the battle to defeat drug abuse. Let's learn together about this growing cause and help our community.
Wayne Campbell will present "Tyler's Light," the story of his son Tyler, who became addicted to pain pills after an injury and then turned to heroin. Tyler's death inspired Mr. Campbell to try to prevent other deaths.
Following Mr. Campbell's talk, Mr. Richard Steele of Maryhaven and a member of the Delaware Opiate Task Force will speak to the trend of opiates spreading across Ohio as well as statistics on prescription drug use in Morrow County.
