Main Street in downtown Claremont is set to come alive during the 18th Annual Claremont Daze 2014 Festival on October 3rd, from 6pm to 11pm, and October 4th,from 9am - 11pm. For the past 17 years, Claremont Daze has brought families and community members together for two fun-filled days of food, live music, and fellowship.
What started as a small community day has grown into a two day event that draws thousands of festival-goers to downtown Claremont each year. The main stage will feature live music from a variety of bands playing a mix of gospel, country, bluegrass, top 40, and beach music. The festival also includes a wide variety of food vendors, beer garden, rides and activities in the “Kids Corner”, business booths, crafts and so much more!
Taking the stage on Friday, October 3 from 7:00-11:00pm is Too Much Sylvia. They offer a unique repertoire of music from the likes of Kid Rock to Zac Brown Band to the Black-Eyed Peas. Too Much Sylvia continues to wow the crowds each year at Claremont Daze.
The festival continues on Saturday, October 4, from 9:00am – 11:00pm. Many bands will perform throughout the day including Driven Quartet, The Neighbors and The Extraordinaires and Darrell Harwood.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy Claremont Daze. The only cost is for purchases of food, drinks and kids’ rides tickets and bracelets. Be a part of the FUN!
Thousands continue to visit Claremont Daze each year which has helped them grow more and more every year. From a small beginning in 1996, this annual event has become one of the most respected festivals in Western North Carolina. Every year, the City of Claremont plans a bigger and more exciting event.
