Our First Watermelon of The Year 2014!

While I am not a huge watermelon fan, they smell fantastic.  And it's always fun to grow your own food.

I am not the biggest fan of watermelon it causes issues later in the day. Fresh fruits are always a  joy, however

You just never know is right - that is a delicious looking watermelon!

My brother and I used to have water melon seed spitting contests.. Little did we know that the seeds that ended up in the planter around the patio would lead to some very tasty water melons.  Who Knew?

Oh that watermelon looks so good! I had a friend who threw cantaloupe into the compost bin and she grew the best cantaloupe too.

Rob, I am currently working on a huge garden going in for next year, and should think about watermelons too!   YUM!

Hi Rob, Watermelon is looking good. how did it taste? Very cool that you folks threw out the seeds and from there you got an actually watermelon. 

I love watermelons from Tennessee they have a different flavor than the ones raised in sandy soil. It's a little late in the year I thought.
