or write to them at your own peril.  I wonder just who falls for this.

Ya gotta just love it!  One would think no one would respond to this type of activity, but apparently there is enough response that keeps the scam going.

     A University professor here in Tallahassee fell for one of these Nigerian scams.  They took him for $100,000 plus.  

That other mailbox in Facebook is full of these types of messages.  Gross.

Eric, After about the first phrase or two I have this uncontrollable impulse to hit the delete button.  Poof

I think you are all paranoid....and it is a good thing also that you are.

I would write back and see where it would lead for curiosity sake.

I am always curious as to who answers these and what the end game is.

I think that anybody in this day and age that falls for these scams almost have it coming . How clueless can you be?

Like most people with an email address I get those from time to time as well. I read, laugh and delete.

Delete! Delete! Delete!

Something has got to be done about this. We see it and recognize it.  I have been scammed before and it's painful, very difficult to ever forget. Fred Griffin 100k that's enough to put someone on the street and never recover. I can't begin to think of how devistating that is. makes me so sick and mad.

     To compound matters (in my comment #3 above), the professor was arrested and charged with grand theft and bank fraud for depositing the bogus checks.

Florida Attorney General warns consumers about mail scam

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Attorney General Charlie Crist warned consumers again Wednesday about the financial swindle known as the "Nigerian Bank Scam," which has landed an adjunct Florida A&M University instructor in trouble.

James Clay Edwards, an adjunct instructor of industrial arts and vocational education, faces grand theft and bank fraud charges after being duped a second time, local authorities said.

In Edwards' situation, he was offered part of an inheritance out of Lagos, Nigeria by e-mail.
