Second Homes

Second homes accounted for 33% of all new and existing home sales in 2007 according to NAR. Speculative buyers are disappearing and serious buyers are now emerging. Many people who had been looking for second homes and vacation retreats simply could not find what they were seeking because of the tight inventory that existed in the past. 

Many areas are seeing high home inventories. Park County Colorado has some of the most pristine and secluded land in Colorado. But the area is still only one hour to Breckenridge or Colorado Springs. Views and wildlife abound. Almost everything is priced to sell. Many of these second homes have large acreage. 

Peace and quiet is achievable. It can be a little eerie when you hear the elk bugle, but more often the sound is magical.
