Apparently Redfin was fined $25,000 just recently by the NWMLS for multiple violations like - advertising agent's listings without their permission - etc.

 Ouch.

Unless that was a different fine, I believe it was $50K.  I could be wrong though.

Fined and paying the fine, two different things.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out

Nope this is a new fine, the 50k was for other violations.  Interesting indeed!

I would be curious to know how the MLS actually collects.

Hmm--Interesting.  Maybe they need a little review of rules and reg's?

Keely interesting news. I am glad they got caught. While I have no problem with a discount model, I think Redfin's model has serious flaws. Conditioning buyers to call the listing agent to do THEIR job is not a good business practice.
