While I enjoy having four incredible seasons in the Northeast...I think my favorite (and shortest) season here is the Fall. The foliage burns bright, but only for a short time. I try to get some photos with in the peak two week window...almost every day. Because everyday the colors change, and when it goes it goes fast. One really cold nice, with a strong rain, and high winds can un-do mother natures colorful portrait.. So if you are coming to New Hampshire now is the time to leaf -peep ? Granted the Berkshires of Massachusetts, up-state New York and other states south of us will have more time...but For the White Mountains of New Hampshire it will be on it's way out by Columbus Day Weekend.

..... Compared to the one I took today of the same tree... I give it a week to 10 days to be at peek.

One of the many rest stops along route 112... sometimes it better to let the RV's climb the hills while you stop and enjoy the view.

Loon mountain ski area...where many of my real estate transaction are centered around.
Get an early start when the sun is coming up in the east, be patient...and enjoy the ride.
