It’s the first day that feels like fall in the High Desert.  It’s a perfect day to talk about the HOT summer season and how hot the summer was for Desert Knolls real estate.

Over the summer 96 houses sold in Desert Knolls, it’s an executive area in Apple Valley, close to the freeway, the hospital, retail, restaurants and movies.   The average house sold was 2400 sq ft., was $107.40 a sq ft, on the market for 42 days and sold for 100.96% of asking price.

Talk about a HOT deal. The least expensive sale was listed for $35K, sold for $70k. It had a few issues. The most obvious being it was burned out.  The largest sale reported to VVAR.com.    The house that hit the top of the list sold for $432K, is 3583 sq ft. built in 2001, it is behind a gate. It sold for $120 a sqft.

Looking away from the summer and at the present, there are 31 homes pending.  The average being 2349 sq and is listed at $239,097.

Hoping to fall into the pendings (or go into escrow) there are 52 houses under $250K for sale. The average house is 1890 sq ft , is $109.32 a sq ft. and is listed for $205,665.

Looking at the houses listed over $250k, there are 77 hopeful homes looking for a new loving owners. The average home is 3229 is listed for $130.49 and is $426,898.

It’s still a hot time to buy even if the temps are cooling off.  Interest rates are still great.  There are LOTs of great buys out there.
