I was invited to join Cre8Buzz by Bill Gassett when it was first in Beta some months ago. I am not really into all that Facebook and Myspace type of sites so I was a bit disinterested at first. After all, I spend most of my time on Active Rain networking and I did not want to spread myself too thin or dilute my efforts here on the rain. But then of course, as with most of these new places, it was filled with Active Rain members some of whom I knew and am friends with but I also discovered Active Rainers there that were reading my blog and I did not know them. This gave me a chance to get to know them. One of the buzz members that is also on Active Rain is Christine Bohn from Gainesville Florida. I did not know her before the Buzz very well and now I do. Another gem I met was Lizette. If you have not seen her artwork you need to check it out. She is one talented lady.

Setting up my profile page was a lot like ones on Facebook and other social networks. I am not very good at all the fancy stuff so I just decided to add photos and network around the Buzz. I ventured out into the Buzz beyond the Real Estate section and discovered some true gems and diamonds in the rough on this ant hill. Just as we do on Active Rain I began to leave comments introducing myself to some awesome moms and women to connect with. Pari is listed in the Artist group, under Photograph but she also writes great poetry. Since I am a writer and a coach connecting with other writers who have written some pretty awesome books like Traci Abramson was really exciting to me. She writes suspense novels:



I can learn alot from these ladies and I look forward to building meaningful relationships with them. There are women from England and Austrailia. I love culture so that is fun too. Of course connecting with homeschool parents like Secret Agent Mama are just the frosting on the cake for me since I am SO passionate about homeschooling!

Well, Cre8buzz is out of Beta now. Before now you had to have an invite to join. Now the Ant Man has opened the Buzz up to everyone. Why else beyond the above reasons would you want to be a part of the Buzz? Well, they have a page rank of 4 with Google so if your blog or website has a page rank of 2 or lower than this is a good link if your profile is set up in the Real Estate part of the Buzz and if you add some content about real estate. You can also add your link to your blogs and websites right on your profile page and it will show a little screen shot of the front page of your blog or website.

You may just be able to connect with someone who knows someone that you are looking to do business with or that you just need to connect with for some other reason. I am sure you have heard of the 6 degrees of separation. Perhaps you can utilize this network along with your Active Rain blogging and networking. Give it a whirl!
