Stock futures began the day falling with democracy protests taking place in Hong Kong and the September jobs report looming on Friday. Consumer spending was up as pending homer sales were down as inflation remained tame. Investors cited geo-political unrest as an excuse to take additional profits. The Dow closed down 41 points, far off its lows for the day.
