Whether you are looking either upgrade to a larger home or looking for a home that is more manageable in terms of size,you need to know if you can afford to make a move. Like most people, your largest investment is your home. It is vital to know the value so you can plan if you can have enough equity in your property to see if it make sense for you to move. If I was in the market for a move, I won’t even bother looking at a new home before going out previewing properties I would consider moving too. I want to know I can actually afford then, before I have waste the homeowners time getting the house ready for viewings, have them leave, etc. Also, if you know are will not be able to move for a several months you a year, if not longer, please do not insist on going house shopping now as the properties now will probably not be available when its actually time to make a decision.
