Oktoberfest in Carlsbad California on October 4, 2014
Hard to believe another year has gone by and it’s time for the annual Carlsbad Oktoberfest 2014.
The 32nd Annual Rotary Oktoberfest in Carlsbad is this coming Saturday, October 4 at Holiday Park in Carlsbad, beginning at 12 noon and running til 10 pm. Holiday Park is easy to find – it’s located along Pio Pico which parallels the freeway, south of Carlsbad Village Drive between Pine and Chestnut.
The Carlsbad Oktoberfest 2014 is being sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carlsbad, with a number of sponsors, including ViaSat, Westfield, NRG, Scripps and many others.
This year the funds will benefit 2 major beneficiaries, the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation, and the Carlsbad Police and Fire Explorer Post.
As is always the case at Carlsbad's Oktoberfest you will find plenty of German music, polka dancing, activities for the kids including face painting, a Children’s pumpkin patch with pumpkin decorating, several bands, bounce houses, and antique firetruck, plus a classic German Oktoberfest dinner catered by Carlsbad’s own Tip Top Meats, served from Noon until 8 pm.
Tickets at $10 can be purchased online, or on the day of the event for $12 at the gate.
