We have all done it, been there and then thought, "am I crazy." For Beverly Carter, the story has come to a tragic end. The world is full of crazy people and sometimes these people look like us, and act as if they are earnest. It is difficult to know who we are talking to and dealing with in the best circumstances, and at other times it is impossible. Beverly was just like us and now she is gone. Let her memory be for a blessing to those who knew and loved her, and let us all remember that there for the grace of G-d, go I.
Hello John. I thought the same and am heatbroken.
Hi Rob. Agreed, but sometimes it doesn't matter.
Sheila
This is so sad. There are some evil people in the world who commit the most heinous crimes against the rest of us.

Sheila it was sad to hear this news about Beverly. I was hoping, somehow she's be ok. Sad....very sad. All I can say is blessings to her family and loved ones. And to the rest of us, do our best to stay safe.

It's a tragedy and reminds us all to take those extra precautions when meeting buyer clients for the first time.

It is definitely better to be safe than sorry. This is such a sad story and I wish it never happened.

While it happened to be an agent, it could have happened to anyone at any time...we should all be aware of our surroundings at all times and take whatever steps we can to increase the odds we will be safe. At the end of the day, though, we cannot control what the criminal element does; we can only hope to defend ourselves if possible, escape and evade...and even then, it is not always enough.

This will definitely change the way I do business and I hope many other agents will as well. My heart goes out to her family, cannot imagine what they are going through...

Hello Brian. I wish it had never happened either. TY.
Hi Susan. You are right of course but those in this business tend to be more vulnerable I think. Thank you.
Hello Diana. If you can say that then you are better off for sure. No one is invincible.
Hi Yolanda. I feel the same way. Thank you.
Thank you Cheryl.

Hello Sheila,
So many of us have posts on this tragedy. It is simply heartbreaking...and the unimaginable is now too real for those who knew Beverly Carter. Prayers to those left behind that they may find the strength to move forward without her.
I put myself in a scary situation about 18 years ago and then I vowed to never let it happen again. I have systems and policies for my agents in place. The only thing more I can do is to be sure they follow them ALL the time.
Good morning Sheila. I had a bad feeling about the story when I first heard it, probably most people did. He tragedy should be a learning, so that her loss is not in vain.
My thoughts and prayers for her family and friends. We can't be too careful in our business.
