My most special and beautiful date

This Friday, I will have my cell phone off and be out on a date with someone very special. I wasn't very popular in school, I was skinny and kind of a nerd. There I said it. I was never asked by a girl to a dance... I'm not even sure I could dance if I wanted to.

So, my choice to meet girls and avoid the dancing was to become the Disc Jockey. Girls would come and talk to me because they had to if they wanted to hear their favorite song. I guess it worked, as that was how I met my wife who was an employee of mine.

But, this Friday, I was asked out on a very special date to go dancing and I didn't even hesitate when asked. You see my daughter has asked me out to a daddy / daughter dance and I couldn't be prouder to go to the dance with her on my arm.

So, this Friday, I'm going on a very special date with a very beautiful girl and I can't wait.

AWESOME... Enjoy that time and make her fell like she is a Billion Dollars... Make those memories with her and enjoy her now and forever... Way to be a great dad!

Todd- This is SO cool! Have a wonderful time. She will remember this for the rest of her life!

That is great :-D, I have a long long time for one of those as I am not looking to have kids for quite a while still but when I do I hope my daughter asks me to take her to a daddy daughter dance. I didn't go to my senior prom because it conflicted with a basketball tournament for my travel b ball team... yes I was a jock, but I was skinny and kind of dorky looking

Hi Todd: What a wonderful evening the two of you will have. I think that is absolutely wonderful. How old is your daughter, and what is her name ? And... please... when Friday rolls around... make sure your wifey takes a picture of the two of you... and then please upload it to this post so we can all see this wonderful couple. Gee, Todd...this one really choked me up. I guess it's because the only time we got noticed by our dad was when we were in trouble. And, I finally had to accept that my ex was no better. Your daughter is a VERY lucky (and cute) young lady!

Todd ~ Hope you had a great evening - both of you! I remember going to father/daughter dances (and how proud I was to have my Dad there). I'm sure she will treasure the memory!

My high school father daughter dances were really nice. One time, my dad was out of time, so I asked my grandfather. That was really special, too.

I'm sure you had a great time with that little cutie. Hope her team is having a good season as well.

Todd, what an incredible opportunity to teach and show her just how special she is. This dance will be one of her best memories. One she will never forget. I encourage David to take Breana out on dates, so that when she is taken on a date with someone else, she has high expectations of how she should be treated and if they don't measure up to Dad, with respect and manners, she will have a clue.

James - It was so much fun, I found out how long it had been though since I last DJ'd as I didn't recognize 1/2 the music being played though.

Katerina - I hope she does, because I know I will!

Chris - I was a runner and that is why I was skinny!

Karen - Some how my wife's pictures didn't turn out and the ones we were supposed to get that were professional taken never showed up either.

Tony or Darcy - I did and I can't wait until the next one... I did like the cookie stand, they had Girl Scout Cookies out for the dads! (LOL)

Jesse - It certainly was one of the most fun nights of my life!

Elaine - I promised my kids are noticed a lot more than that. Heck my daughter is now 10 and I still read to them every night!

Jason - Thanks Jason and I hope to be there many more times as I know to be included in that group is very special and it means I'm doing something right!

Elaine - Oh, I know if I was ever out of town, which I doubt will ever happen, I know my dad would step in no problem. My dad is already stepping in on the 16th of May when all 3 kids have a game at the exact same time on three different fields all around town.

Kathy - It was an awesome night and I can still remember it like it was yesterday.

Roberta - Sorry it took so long, the dance went great and fun was had by all, looking forward to the next one, but it will have to be a double date as now I have two daughters in girl scouts.

Deb - I've certainly gained a lot of weight since high school. (LOL)

Vanessa - I wanted to see pictures also, seems not a one turned out or was delivered as promised.

Bonnie - Oh, that is a good idea! I know who ever has to deal with my daughter when she is older is in trouble! She takes after me and I'm a practical joker!

Kay - It was one of the best nights of my life! Heck it was nights like that, that made me want to become a dad in the first place.
