Fall Has Arrived In Middletown Connecticut. I posted my "First Progression of Fall Blog Of 2014 last week on September 26th", and the first picture above is of the trees just before they began to change color. I took the second picture a couple of weeks later, and posted it last Saturday in my "Second Blog Of The 2014 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT". The trees had began to change, but there wasn't much of a change yet. However, in this Third Blog Of The 2014 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT, the change in colors are starting to become a lot more noticeable.
I started doing this series of the progression of Fall colors Two years ago, and hope to continue this series for years to come. The first two years the pictures were of a farm which is only about a minute walk from my house. This year I have decided to change the location for my 2014 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT. to a lake about 5 minutes from my house. I will continue to post pictures of this same spot throughout the Fall to show the progression of the Fall colors this year.
Fall is a beautiful time of the year in New England, but the last couple of years have only been average years for Fall colors. I have become spoiled by the beautiful colors we normally see during the Fall, and even though the last couple of years the colors were OK, this year I am hoping for the colors to truly standout.
Even though the second picture did not show much of a color change, I am encourage by the noticeable change in colors in this third picture. Many of the trees here in Middletown have completely turned color already, which is about a week or so earlier than normal. The colors so far are superior to what we have had the last couple of years, so I may get my wish this year.
Anyone planning to come to New England to enjoy our Fall colors at their peak should plan on coming between the middle of October to the beginning of November. My favorite colors are the trees with yellow, orange, and rust color leafs when they blend together.
Fall Has Arrived In Middletown Connecticut as you can see in this Third Blog Of The 2014 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT. I hope those following my series of the progression of Fall colors, will enjoy the experience of seeing the change in colors of our trees here in Middletown, CT along with me.
