OK, this is eerily similar to my last video entry with one small change. The other video was also done for the national Century 21 YouTube video contest that is currently running (Please vote here by clicking the "Vote" tab and giving me a green thumbs up!). The rules for that one were 2 minutes max and you can't mention the specific property address in the video. I added :11 seconds to give some specific property information for ActiveRain. Because winning would be awesome but the ultimate goal of this video is to get the home sold! Thanks for taking to time to watch and comment.
I have one to submit as well so hopefully one of us can take that top prize. It was so windy yesterday that my tripod became a casualty of making the video. Luckily I was done recording but it did slow me up a little bit.
MICHELLE: Thank you so much for the kind words and multiple votes! I sincerely appreciate that. This video was all done with iMovie on my Mac. Some of the animations and titles were done in Keynote (Mac's version of PowerPoint) and the imported to iMovie. I used my little flip camera for a lot of the filming. I posted a whole list of the equipment and software I used here: http://appraiserrealtor.tumblr.com
Thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment!
GINGER: Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm flattered and humbled. PS - I love your part of the country. SO pretty down there! Thanks again for watching and for the positive comment. I really appreciate it.
RUDY: Thanks so much, man! Keep smiling and follow me back on Twitter please @RealtorLefebvre....Just think of the $$$ you could save if a guy from Boston wins! I'll happily take the train and help slash the airfare budget for the contest! :)
CANDIS: Thanks so much for commenting. And thanks for taking the time to go to an entirely different site and vote for me in another contest. It's very humbling when perfect strangers are willing to take time out of their day to help your cause, and for that I am very grateful. Have an awesome day!
MICHAEL: Thanks buddy, although it's safe to say the competition is heating up with some of these late entries. :) You guys did a great job on yours as well! As the French say, "Bon Chance!" which means "Good Luck and I hope you come in 2nd!", I believe.
JO: Thanks so much Jo! That means a lot to me. The feedback here on ActiveRain has been phenomenal. Vote early, vote often. Although my SELLER gets the $21,000 first prize at the Century 21 contest, I'm sure I could wrestle out a nice price reduction if they win the $$$ because of my video, right? :) Thanks again
Mike...seriously, you may have missed your calling. You should be working in Hollywood! Your video rocked!!! Smart, funny....awesome timing on the music, great transitions, great scripting...I think you've got a winner on your hands.
BOB: Thanks so much! You've obviously seen my production (or lack there of) this quarter when referencing my missed calling. I thought you and Annie had a pretty great video, too! With a name like "Lefebvre" I wish I thought of your concept! Thanks for the positive feedback, but like Yogi Berra said, "It ain't over 'til it's over."
Wow Mike - you are great at this - glad I'm not a judge - so many awesome entries. I'm off to vote for you for C21 - definitely a winner - hope the home sells too! :) @cyndeehaydon
@cyndeehaydon: Thanks for the nice words. Yeah, me too! The ultimate goal here is to sell the damn home right? How's the market down there? My Mom lives north in Spring Hill. Follow me back on Twitter @RealtorLefebvre if you're not already. AND THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for taking time out of your hectic life to vote over on Century 21. That one has a $21,000 prize for my seller (can someone say "price reduction" for the agent?). I really appreciate your support.
PATRICK: Thanks! That means a lot to me. This was my first real attempt at video and I had a blast. To know it was actually entertaining is a huge bonus!
JESSICA and SARA: In all seriousness (tweets aside), thanks to both of you for the kind words. Glad you found it entertaining. I know I had a blast making it and it's really gratifying to hear that comes across to the viewers as well.
KAREN: Thanks, but please don't EVER doubt your creativity. Keep at it! Keep creating! Keep pushing! If I stopped after every person told me to "give it up" I would have never got to make this video and all the others still to come... (inspirational message over)
ELEANOR: Thank you! I love Cary, NC and want to follow some real estate people on Twitter from the area! Are you or any of your realtor contacts on Twitter? Please follow me @RealtorLefebvre if so.
ANNIE and BOB: In the interest of full disclosure, I was worried when I saw your video. The concept was really, really good! And you guys both come off very naturally on camera. Enjoy the Flip camera. You will love it!!!!
Mike, congratulations to the win on your video! This was so gooooood. You did a fantastic job! From a fellow MA gal!! (Born in Groton,MA and lived in Ayer & Millis as a child).
This is AWESOME! As one with some video experience, www.TheFrugaAgent.com I appreciate the work to pull this off. No HD for sure ,but the story and audio mix is brilliant. I've seen my share of video real estate and am satisfied just hand you the prize. I so want to steal this!!! I hope sombody up there is lining up to buy this house!!
Deep thoughts from Mike Lefebvre, The Uncommon Agent, about the real estate market in the Metrowest suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. Viewpoints from a real estate agent, a real estate appraiser, an avid Red Sox fan...and sometimes all three at once!
