I had received a referral from relocation and this lady was moving here to Charlotte to work for one of the major banks. She knew no one here and had no family here.
She made several visits to the city and I always picked her up from one of the hotels uptown. She finally made a decision and purchased a beautiful house. At closing she asked me if I could do her a big favor. She had purchased this Jeep from a car dealer sight unseen and needed a ride to the dealership to pick up her new ride.
The dealership was in Monroe, NC so we got all of her belongings from the hotel and headed southeast towards Monroe, NC.
Once we located the dealership I waited in my car for her to finalize her transaction. I helped her move her belongings from my car to her new Jeep. She had the biggest smile on her face as I waved and drove away. She stood waving at me with the keys to her new house in one hand and the keys to her new Jeep in the other hand.
What really tickled me was that she previously owned a Jaguar and now was thrilled to own and drive a Jeep.
It felt great that day to help a client in need.
