Many years ago I saw the movie on Golden Pond.  I loved that movie.  The story was about a married couple that vacationed every summer in a log home on the lake.  They would pack up the house for the winter as it got very cold with heavy snow.  I started thinking how cool it would be to have a vacation home on a lake where it snowed in the winter.  I started looking on line for my vacation home.  My husband and I started booking places to visit and one day we heard of a place called Deep Creek Lake.  So we took a Porsche trip to Cumberland and then headed to Deep Creek Lake for the night.

We loved Deep Creek Lake.  We learned it was a 4 season resort with lake and snow activities. We were so thrilled that we purchased a condo sight unseen. For the next 2 years we would stay in our condo very other weekend.  Since we were both working remotely in our jobs we decided to explore living at DCL full time. In 2006 we purchased a log home overlooking the lake and my dream of a “Golden Pond Home” came true.
