While visiting the mountains last weekend, I ran across this old tree... It really fascinated me for some reason.. The fist picture in particular was really cool... but the second photo I wanted to show for perspective.. The house is an old abandoned home that is at Station Cove Falls.
What a great shot!! I love old knarled trees like this one and would love the opportunity to renovate that home and bring it back to useful purpose.
June - it is a great old home. I was shocked to see it just standing open like it was.. seems like that would not be good for it ...
Sheila, not only is the tree beautiful, but I like that abandoned brick home!
Sheila, that tree looks like it would be amazing to climb! Love the house, too. Maybe somebody should renovate the place!
I am a tree hugger at heart! That tree is beautiful! The picture with that tree next to it is awesome. I would be so nice to have that house fixed up and have people in it one more time.
Hi Sheila, that is such an interesting tree, do you know what it is? That house looks like it just needs someone to come in and renovate, I love old houses!
Sheila, This is an awesome tree and I have never seen anything quite like it before.
Took a lot of bricks and craftsmanship to build that structure. Two good pictures.
Sheila, what kind of tree is that? Those winding limbs tell a story, I'm sure. Thanks for sharing your photos!
Sheila, that is a pretty cool looking tree...I bet kids would have a great time climbing it.
Christine – I agree.. would love to just sit there for a while
Sharon and Bruce – me too.. I have tons of photos of it as well
Patricia – I wish they would.. it is in a State Park.. Surprising it is just sitting there open
Sussie – I can imagine that for sure
Debbie – Me too.. and no.. I am not good with the names of trees and plants..
Evelyn- TY
Sam – I just had to make a photo of it
Dale – TY
Suzanne - YW.. I wish I knew the type of tree, but I don’t
Nick – I can imagine the kids that used to live in the house climbing it..
