The Dougherty Valley High School Athletics Booster Sponsor Program aims to promote the positive image of student athletics and to continue to build traditions at Dougherty Valley High School, Home of the Wildcats. Since the opening of the school in its inaugural year of 2007, Dougherty Valley has achieved success in many areas of high school athletics including NCS championships in both girls basketball and soccer, and playoff runs for football, baseball, women’s golf, men’s volleyball, track & field, and more. As a supporting sponsor, I decided to help by way of sponsorship in order to continue the DVHS’s success and increase in community spirit. Community Night:
On Friday, September 26th, DVHS brought together students, parents, and staff members from all Dougherty Valley Area Schools for a night of football, food, and fun! The schools invited were Gale Ranch, Coyote Creek, Quail Run, Windemere Ranch, Hidden Hills, and Live Oak. The Dougherty Valley community was invited to attend the DVHS Wildcats home football game vs. Las Lomas Knights. I was overjoyed that the school announcer made an announcement about me:
“A big thank you to Rama Mehra our local real estate expert and major sponsor for her continual support of our student athletes and the DVHS athletic boosters.

I am thrilled to have been the Presenting Sponsor of the DVHS Cultural Fest for 2014. This family event was the 2nd annual Culture Fest that took place on May 3. The event featured a cultural bazaar where one could sample foods from around the world. There were jewelry and clothing merchandise booths and interactive Student Booths ranging from Henna Tattoos to games from different countries. There was a Global Showcase where you could enjoy world-renowned artists performing and representing cultures from seven different countries! Students could learn the Flamenco, Chinese Ribbon Dance, BharatNattyam, and Native American dances at the free workshops taught by award-winning professional artists. I am delighted to have sponsored a valuable event, rich in culture and diversity, for the DVHS student body.

I was pleased to be featured as one of the main sponsors for Cal High’s Athletics Booster for 2013 & 2014. The Successful Cal High Athletic Boosters Fundraiser was held on March 15th at the Crow Canyon Country Club. There were members of the San Ramon community, some celebrities and families of students at Cal High School.
Located at the Crow Canyon Country Club, Cal High’s largest athletic fundraising event of the year was a success! This lovely evening for the Cal Community featured a delicious dinner, games, auctions, raffles, and live entertainment. All the proceeds went to benefit Cal High Student Athletes so they can continue to grow and learn in competitive and safe programs. This year’s Grizzly Madness was the best ever – netting $46,000 for the Athletics program! $10k over last year’s amount!
Guy McIntyre of the San Francisco 49ers made a guest appearance and gave his heartwarming and inspirational viewpoint on the importance of supporting school athletics programs. It was heartening to hear about some Cal High students who are excelling in the sports arena, making a name for themselves and bringing glory to the home of the Grizzlies. Many alumni were decorated into the Hall of Fame, and many of whom are now serving in the schools as Athletic Directors and coaches.
