Springfield Town Center Grand Opening
Springfield Town Center will have its grand opening on Friday, October 17th at 10am. The ribbon cutting will take place at the Grand Entry that faces Loisdale Road (6500 Springfield Mall). The opening of the town center has been long awaited by residents and it will be an exciting event for the community.

Anchor stores for the 1.3 million square foot shopping center are Dicks Sporting Goods, LA Fitness, Macy's, JC Penny, Regal Cinemas, and Target. Topshop is one of the most anticipated retailers in the town center. The first location to open in the DC area and only one of three in the United States. Other retailers include Michael Kors, Pandora, Forever 21, Sunglass Hut, Lids, Sephora, H&M, and Ann Taylor. There will be 150 retailers in the town center.

Shoppers will have plenty of dining options while visiting Springfield Town Center. Maggianos Little Italy, Chuy's, Yardhouse, Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill, Nando's and a 700 seat food court will all be available giving shoppers options for both a quick bite or a sit down meal.

The second phase of the town center is also in the works and when completed will feature office space, a hotel, and residential space. The full site is 78 acres and will eventually have pocket parks and be setup to be easily accessible by car, metro, and walking. The opening has been long awaited by many residents after the mall had drastically gone down hill. There will be lots of giveaways on Friday and plenty to see and do.
