To many people, memories are comprised of holiday memories with family and friends. When looking to buy, it's important to think about how your life in your new home will impact your style and future memories, such as child raising, single life, empty nestors, school, education, roads, and neighbors.
If you're looking to buy now and the end of the year, and you've got your eye on a specific neighborhood, you might want to see how the neighbors are decorating for the holidays. Also, find out what the Chamber of Commerce has planned for upcoming events. For example, long before I became an agent, I didn't know the annual Holiday December Parade ran right behind my fence line. Although exciting for some, I'm blocked in and it's hard for me to get out of the neighborhood with my car.
On the other hand, I had a friend who once lived in an historic district and she knew in advance that the annual Holiday December Parade ran right in front of her house. The big difference? I have an 8 foot fence and I can't see the parade from my own backyard. My friend on the other hand knew the neighborhood and planned annual family get-togethers for the Parade. That was her idea of family entertainment!
Whether you want a kid friendly neighborhood or not, it's good to know in advance how your life style can be impacted before you buy. Having the right agent to help guide you in your home buying process can enhance future memories with family and friends or the single life.
