The 5th Annual Harvest Balloon Festival is returning to Sterling on the Lake’s Village Green in Flowery Branch this Saturday, October 18th from 1p.m. to 8 p.m. The festival is a celebration,  incorporating good old-fashioned outdoor fun and family participation. Everyone is invited to this family-friendly fall festival, full of activities and enjoyment of tethered balloon rides that will start at 5:30 p.m.

Folks can enjoy their Saturday afternoon with tethered balloon rides, pumpkin carving and painting, hay rides, hamster ball races, spider bounce rides and many other fun games. There will be live music performances and craft vendors, as well as edible treats and carnival stands. A limited number of balloon rides will be available on Sunday morning following the balloon launch around 8:00 a.m. While enjoying the festival, visitors can stop by the ticket booth and register for a chance to win fun prizes including a hot air balloon ride and can also meet and adopt a dog at the Hall County Animal Shelter tent. All proceeds benefit their two local charities, Hall County Animal Shelter and Challenged Child & Friends, an organization that serves children with disabilities through educational, nursing and family counseling. This is a way of giving back and expressing their gratitude for the things these organizations have done for the community.

Admission is $1 per guest and parking is free. Parking is located at Flowery Branch High School at 6603 Spout Springs Road, Flowery Branch and complimentary shuttles will be available for guests. For directions and further information, please visit www.harvestballoonfestival.com or call 678-960-0232.
