Warren Township is a township in Somerset County, New Jersey. It was settled in the 1720's and incorporated as a township in 1806. The township was named after the hero of Bunker Hill, Joseph Warren. In 2009 CNN's Money Magazine named Warren Twp. the #6 best place to live in America. And in 2014 the security organization Safewise ranked Warren #3 among the 50 safest cities in New Jersey.

Among the qualities that make Warren a desirable community are the school system, wide open spaces, the combination of suburban residential areas and farmland and family friendly recreation offerings (beautiful parks, Summer carnival, an annual Car Show) and convenient location, about 30 miles from New York, 40 miles from Trenton and 85 miles from Philadelphia. Students in grades 9-12 attend the well known Watchung Hills Regional High School, which serves students from Warren as well as the neighboring communities of Watchung, Green Brook and Long Hill Township.
