EBOLA 1 + 2 = TOO MANY

One dead Ebola patient on U.S. soil and two confirmed Ebolia cases, both nurses who came into direct contact and treated Duncan of Ebola. Who is to blame and how do we fix this deadly problem?

The advancement of Science and Medicine will be judged by how U.S. health officials and the Center for Disease Control allowed all of this to happen.

According to the media in this morning's news by Lisa Marie Garza and Terry Wade, President Barak Obama claims "The likelihood of a widespread Ebola case was very, very low." Do you believe this is true?

Per the second nurse who contracted Ebola "no one from the Center of Disease Control stopped her from flying."

The public is gravely concerned. People like myself are questioning those who are in the Medical profession, especially the CDC, and our government leaders. Mistakes like this should not happen. What is in the intellectual menu of this country? I was of the opinion that the advancement of medical education is a source of pride to the American people. The public relies on the highest standards of medical treatment and practice. Competency is not an option.

What does the death of the Liberian patient Thomas Eric Duncan, deceased as of October 8th mean to you?  Furthermore, how do you feel about the nurses who treated the Ebola patient who played a role in spreading the disease? How many more people are at risk and who is liable?

Nurses have always been the angels on earth. Go into any hospital or doctor's office and the first person who is directly occupied with the care of the sick and dying is the nurse. If the Center of Disease Control can not be counted on to give the right advice to those who are in the Medical Profession who can we count on?

Whitney Watson fear and propaganda is the topic of day too! In my personal opinion, this is not going away anytime soon. What concern me is that other countries like Australia and China has dealt with infections diseases and I don't see or hear about anyone other than the British as of yesterday coming to our aid in America or helping with the crisis in Africa.

Joanna Cohlan - I completely agree. Anyone who travels has even more to worry about than airport security. It seems to me those in charge of our health and welfare are leading and making decisions with their pants down and unless something happens to them or their immediate loved ones, I'm afraid they won't get their butts in gear to stop making excuses and start resolving this epidemic national disaster as it enfolds. In my wild imagination, I can't help but wonder how many are now in remote parts of the world enjoying life like kings and queens without sweating ther butts off trying to protect our lives and safety.

Debb Janes - I've never had a flu shot and I've never had the flu. My doctors in the past said it wouldn't be wise to get one now. It has me worried about myself and those I come in contact with. I really do think we all need more prayers. I will keep your daughter and her family, especially her unborn child in my fervant prayers.

George Souto - in past wars Presidents of our country went out to the battlefield to shake soldiers hands. Let's see if our current Pres would do to the same for our Military in Africa or those U.S. citizens or any ebola patients... never mind, I'm of 99.9% certain that would never happen!

Lisa Von Domek not only are we guinea pigs, people in other parts of the world are probably laughing at America even more. There's so much hatred for the American people when there isn't a crisis overseas and we're not there helping in a crises situation. There is talk about how wonderful China handled the SARS epidemic yet I don't see anyone running to Dallas or Maryland or Atlanta to help save the victims.

Sharon & Bruce Walter - we are a global society and meeting people from other cities, states, and countries is part of the norm today. You have every reason on earth to be concerned. There's so much we don't know and what we do know is shocking and alarming. I'm freaked out showing in Dallas too! Every time I go into a home, I now wonder, who lives here and were they exposed to anyone with epola or treating those with ebola?

This should not be Mission Impossible. This should not be the beginning of someone's next best novel or prospect for an Actor's oscar. The way our government is handling things and the CDC is criminal.

Tammy Lankford - your daughter is a wonderful woman. I will keep her in my prayers. The CDC is caught with their pants down now. We'll find out if it's not too late but so far I don't trust them.

Kathy Streib I watched most of the hearing but I was focused on their body language. If they were only allowed to speak with truth serum I wonder how different the stories would sound?

Regarding people with ebola symtoms to volunterily self-monitor temperatures is absurd to me. Every time I go see a doctor they take my vitals and as I sit in that chair and they retake my blood pressure it changes! Temperatures change too! Do thing they the general public is stupid? And now we have a CZAR Ron Klain with a government background who has no medical background making decisions? Are we safer now today than yesterday? I don't think so!

Today I learned there's a person who was exposed to the ebola patient who is NOW on a cruise ship because it's not considered public transportation. That's not comforting to me either! What the heck??????? Thank goodness Belize will not let them on their soil.

The Center of Disease Control has a lot of explaining. I have a feeling there is an economic impact underneath the surface that has yet to be discovered.

Joe Petrowsky yes... we shall hear more. There's a guy on a CRUISE ship right now who has been exposed. This is a global problem and more countries and medical experts need to get involved instead of a CZAR who has no medical background on disease control.

Shannon Milligan, Richmond VA Real Estate Agent - I agree with you. I'm no lawyer but it sure sounds like gross negligence to me! I am so angry about that point about letting the nurses work with other patients while they were working with Duncan is a criminal offense if you ask me. Not having a dedicated team, protocol, training, or compliance is insane! No wonder why we have so many diseases spreading. What else goes on that patients and their families don't know???

ALL THE CDC AND THE FDA HAS SOVEREIGN IMMUNITY AND NEITHER THE STATE OR THE PEOPLE ACTING AS AGENTS OF THE STATE CAN BE SUED.

OF COURSE, ANYONE CAN SUE ANYONE, BUT THE CDC AND THE FDA HAS SOVEREIGN IMMUNITY - ARE YOU SCARED NOW???

It's been a shocking revelation of incompetency on so many levels--we've had months to prepare, both on a national and local level, sadly those sent into the patient's room had no prior training.

Lisa Von Domek - isn't it something that the Belize Government made a statement about the passenger on the Cruise ship saying, "Out of an abundance of caution, the government of Belize decided not to facilitate a US request to evacuate a passenger," on board because one of the Cruise ships passengers may have been exposed while handling Duncan's specimens!

Why can't our government do the same as a caution and why was Obama so quick to suspend flights to Israel? The pages of history are being scrutinized now and into our future!
