Goats and CCRS!

Goats and CCRS.  I did mention that in the title didn't I? Odd title isn't it? Well, you learn something new every day it seems.

I showed a 10 acre piece of land today. We met a builder out there and discussed with him that my client wanted to put in maybe a cow or two, chickens and goats onto the land and have a tiny farm.

He politely told us that the CCRS allowed an amount of only 1 animal per acre purchased. Hmmmm. Well, that sounded o.k.

But when I got home, I sent the CCRS to the client and she read through them and learned that you CANNOT have male goats on that property. Huh? That was confusing until she researched it and learned that male goats are super messy, cause a rucus, and are constantly tearing up things and chasing all the female goats.

We had a good laugh at that and I guess that's all o.k. with the client.

That is funny. I am sure the next thing is some doofus activist will be challenging this in the court system as to why the same thing is not applied to female goats and then play a gender card!?!?!?!

Male goats a "no-go(at)"? Who knew? Thanks for the laugh, Jill.

It is good that your client did read CCRS rules. A lot of times clients ignore reading( well, who blames them, it can be hundreds of pages) and are very surprised after closing about some very strict rules( =not having a male goat:).
