Special offer

House Goes For $100,000 More – With Cat

This report is just so-o-o odd.  An Australian family received an offer on their home with a provision to raise the price by U.S. $100,000 if they could keep the family’s pet cat. The buyer’s child took such a liking to Tiffany the cat that they decided to make this unusual offer.  The home’s price was U.S. $1.9 million (with cat).

No word on the seller’s response. I hope the inspection goes well and there’s not an appraisal issue.  Tiffany's picture was not available.

Maybe I should rent some cute cats when showing my listings!

Gabe Sanders, that may open up a whole new business line for home stagers!

I hope Tiffany the cat wasn't part of the staging and she doesn't take off after the sale! Too funny! Thanks for sharing, Robert.

My parents sold their farm house with the provision that the buyers had to keep two farm dogs and the pet raccoon.  No lie.

Steve Kantor I have a friend that thinks the cat will take off and re-unite with the original owners after the sale.  Chris Griffith that is funny!  At least dogs on a farm make a little more sense.  The racoon? Not so much.

I wouldn't take $100,000 for either of my cats.  Even if a 4-year old child wanted them.

This is an interesting story. Home sellers will be visiting the local shelter to select a cute cat.

Roy Kelley, I suspect the local Humane Society branches had a run on cat adoption.
