Green Tomatoes Recipes

 

In a recent blog, Sharon Tara asked what can be done with the surplus of green tomatoes that are available as tomatoes are picked before they have damage from heavy frost. This is a great topic since I happen to love green tomatoes in many different kinds of recipes. 

My comment on Sharon's blog was to go to Pinterest for a very large selection of green tomato recipes. The following link will show what was found after a quick search for Green Tomatoes Recipes.

If you are not yet using Pinterest, it is worth the effort to take advantage of the free membership if you do nothing other than use it as a source for recipes.

Hi Roy,  How come all your tomatoes are the same size?  I picked mine just before our frost and we now have tomatoes in all sizes.  I'm going to check out the recipes you mentioned on pintrest.

Fried green tomatoes are a favorite here in south central Pennsylvania.  Unfortunately, the ground hogs clean out our garden in the last few days, I picked was was left this morning, but the harvest was small.
