Embarrassing Leakage

Kathleen Daniels, as a November ActiveRain Challenge,  has asked blogger members to write about an embarrassing moment with clients.

After gallbladder surgery, I was immediately back to work showing properties to a prospective home buyer. We were in my car and all of a sudden, the front of my shirt was very wet. I quickly recalled that the surgeon had warned of possible bile leakage after the surgery.

I was lucky to have a napkin within reach and offered an explanation to my client for the unusual occurrence. We just kept on going as if nothing had happened but I did wonder about her thoughts.

Kathleen asked us to provide a photograph for this blog but I did not think you would want to see a picture of my gallbladder operation scar. So, you have flowers as an alternative.

Bette Gottwald - Actually, this was not a horrible thing and all went well for recovery. The thoughts of this, though, are not pleasant for others. I would not want to discourage anyone who may need a gallbladder removal.

Tom Braatz  - The purpose of gallbladder surgery is to improve the health. That is why is should be done when recommended. This surgery has become a routine procedure for general surgeons.
