Gotham City might be the home of the iconic movie & comic superhero Batman, but Music City is the home of the 30+ story AT&T skyscraper, otherwise known as the "Batman" Building. Pegging its nickname from its lofty twin spires that pierce through the sky and its dark front facade, this eye catching monstrosity that took 2 1/2 years to construct back in 1991 has just celebrated its 20th birthday!

As a Nashville Realtor I relish in architecture. The Batman Building was designed by Earl Swensson & Associates, this Commerce Street tower is the state of Tennessee's tallest building and proudly stamps Music City the way The Chrysler Building tokens New York City. The string of famous honky tonks on Broadway Boulevard such as Tootsie's and The Stage skirt by its ankles making The Batman Building one of the most popular backdrops in street photos taken by the endless amunt of tourists who flock to enjoy the city that birthed Country Music. Routinely featured in aerial shots in ABC's hit television show "Nashville", The Batman Building has become the shining symbol of the Nashville Skyline.

In addition to it being the Tennessee headquarters of AT&T numerous other tenants hold residency within the $94 Million dollar structure. The Tennessee Business Roundtable, US Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank, Pillsbur Law, and HG3M Law Firm our also proud residences of the highly coveted landmark. So Happy 20th Birthday Batman Building! Thank you for styllizing Music City and its skyline!
