Sample Real Estate Community Newsletters

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with LinkUp Realty

Here are a few sample community newsletters that we create for agents when creating farm areas for them as part of our 50-Day Farm Program. We create 26-30 total emails, spread out over a three year period. Most emails are duplicated, but because they are spread out so frequently the subscribers to not know. Also check out my article on "How to Create a Real Estate Farm Area".

Mike deep into the links from the original blog post I started on which is a great job, btw.

Everything is top notch and professional looking.

I know this is great info, but I am intimidated considering it all.

I do have a question regarding legal issues...are they currently building in the areas you are representing in the community, if so do they have representation other than your team and if so, is there any thing that could be filed against you? I saw the disclaimer on the community site and was just curious about it. I love what you have presented here.

If you ever need help creating this stuff, we have done it for other agents around the country before. Yes, you can run into legal issues. I ran into major ones with Nocatee, and extremely large development. I took down the site, but I really went overboard with it. The developer is still building out in this community, two or three sub-divisions left.

The main legal issues run into trademarked names. They don't have trademarks on Bartram or Park, or the two together that I'm aware of. There is a Bartram Park BLVD and other city streets. Hopefully I don't run into issues with this one! The larger ones you have to be careful. If they start pulling the claim that I don't have the legal right to use the name "Bartram Park", there are some defenses. We are members of the National Association of Realtors, and have Realtor IDX feeds with the community names on there. Lawyers argue that they LOOSE the name when they allow open use of it and don't defend it. 90% of my actual content is IDX feed, thats just reality.

The biggest issue seems to be the domain name, as MANY real estate websites have community information.

Anyway, definitely have to be cautious. Looking back I probably should have toned down the last post card I sent, just to make it clear that we are NOT associated with the developer! Easier to ask forgiveness than permission sometimes, and good attorneys go a long way.
